Jessica Ledwich is a photographic artist whose practice centres on photography as seduction. Drawing from the visual language of advertising, she works with close-up imagery of food, nature, and the body to create visceral, hyperreal compositions that blur the line between the synthetic and the real.
She has exhibited across Australia, Europe, Asia, and South America, and her work has been featured in numerous international publications, including Musée Magazine's WOMEN issue and the Chicago political magazine The Point. She is the recipient of a British Journal of Photography 1854 Fast Track Award and Edition 365 Award, as well as an Australia Council for the Arts Artstart Award and Cultural Career Fund Award. In 2023, her work was featured in Art Monsters: Unruly Bodies and Feminist Art by Dr Lauren Elkin, published by Chatto & Windus.
Alongside her studio practice, Jessica is an educator and lecturer in photography and visual culture at COLLARTS Melbourne.
